Learning differences are never a boundary of potential.
Struggle does not define a child's capabilities.
Too often, children with learning differences are defined by their challenges rather than recognized for what they're truly capable of. They're labeled "difficult," "distracted," or "behind," when the reality is so much more complex.
Over time, fear, stigma, and misunderstanding can quietly chip away at a child's confidence. They start to believe they're not as smart as everyone else. They stop trying. Their potential doesn't disappear, it just gets hidden in plain sight.
But here's the truth: every child is capable and intelligent. When they're seen, understood, and supported, they thrive.

I've Been Where Your Child Is
When I was younger, I was described as a confident, outgoing, and happy-go-lucky girl. What you may not have seen as easily was how hard school felt for me. I was pulled out of every class for extra help, and eventually told my parents I was the "dumbest" person in my class.
In fifth grade, I was evaluated and diagnosed with ADHD. That moment didn't "fix" everything, but with the right strategies, support, and self-awareness, learning started to make sense. Most importantly, I rebuilt my confidence. It was lost for a while, but eventually, it came back. I created Hidden in Plain Sight because I don't want any child to grow up believing they aren't capable simply because learning feels hard.
And to the parents reading this: it is going to be okay. Your belief in them can change everything.
"Struggle does not define who a child will become." -Dylan Tanzer

The Hidden in Plain Sight Series
As a student who has gone through the same experiences your child may be facing, I understand what it's like. The confusion, the struggles, the feeling that no one really gets it. The process can feel overwhelming, and it's important to get real answers. I'm asking the questions I wish someone had asked for me. In Season 1, I sit down with psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, educators, and families to have the conversations that parents and kids actually need to hear.
